The Temple Israel Sisterhood is a dynamic group of multigenerational, intelligent, inspired and inspiring women who are committed to our synagogue, community and each other. The women of Sisterhood enthusiastically welcome new members, while building lasting bonds of friendship through their shared experience volunteering, sponsoring events, attending cultural venues and learning new skills. Creating a sense of belonging and service is pivotal to the Sisterhood’s mission of supporting the religious, cultural, social, spiritual and intellectual programming of Temple Israel.
Our goal is to create events that are meaningful to women of all ages and in all stages of life. We work in conjunction with the Brotherhood to sponsor events that include the entire congregation.
If you want to engage with an active and interesting group of women who are intent on making a difference – and having fun while doing it – we invite you to join the Sisterhood. You determine your own level of participation. We make every effort to schedule activities at various times of the day and week to make our programs accessible to members.
