Brotherhood

Brotherhood

Camaraderie and friendship. A greater sense of fellowship and community. Bonding that extends beyond a passing hello, a quick conversation at Shabbat services or an exchange of handshakes when you bump into a fellow TI member in the workplace or socially. That’s what Brotherhood membership can provide. Yes, we’re here to support the congregation but we’re also here to support one another – each individual or family, whatever the need may be.

Among our past activities and involvement:

  • Annual Family BBQ — our “ShaBaBeQue”
  • Religious School Breakfasts
  • Ballgame Outing/Spring Training Camp
  • Brotherhood Shabbat
  • Monthly Discussions
  • Chanukah Candles Distribution
  • Annual Steak Dinner
  • Youth Scholarships
  • High Holy Days Babysitting
  • Teen Confirmation Trip
  • Brotherhood Dinner in the Sukkah

You determine your own level of participation — fully involved, occasional involvement, or if you only want to pay your Brotherhood Supporting Membership dues or make a donation.  Every Temple Israel member who identifies as male is automatically a Brotherhood member, but we always appreciate those who further support us as “Supporting Members”.
