Membership

How often do you have services?

Erev Shabbat services begin at 6:30 p.m. every Friday evening.

We worship on select Saturday mornings with a variety of special Shabbat activities including including Out-of-the-Box programs, Havdalah, Torah Study, introspective programs and B’nai Mitzvah celebrations.

How many members does Temple Israel have?

We currently have approximately 250 families.

What do I get for my membership dues?

On top of the regular benefits of membership such as High Holy Days tickets, members enjoy access to guest speakers, special programs and events, congregational dinners, discounted event fees and more.  Our Rabbi, staff and members will be there to support you through life’s challenges and joys.  You will also be supporting our synagogue and the great programs we offer.  Our members find they get back much more than they pay for.

Annual Commitment

At Temple Israel, we offer various levels of membership based on age or a "snowbird with other affiliation" status.  In addition, members can elect to be a President's Circle member which is inclusive of our regular membership and annual reserve costs.  Learn more of the additional benefits of being a President's Circle member by clicking here.

Below find our Annual Commitment levels and related information.

If you have any questions or financial concerns, please contact Karen Szteinberg at (561) 833-8421 or Karen@temple-israel.com

President’s Circle

Created by Past President Zelda Mason in 1995, the President’s Circle at Temple Israel has a long tradition of philanthropy with its members going above and beyond their annual commitment.  Contributing significantly to the operating expenses of the synagogue, President’s Circle dues account for about 25% of our annual revenues and about 40% of our overall revenues.  Support from the President’s Circle allows us to offer dues adjustments to those who are unable to meet the annual financial commitment.

In joining the President’s Circle, there are several membership levels.  Dues are inclusive and not in addition to Temple members’ annual commitment.

This photo does not reflect our current President's Circle members; we will soon be updating our President's Circle Honors Board.

Join today and keep your eyes open for our updated photo... and hopefully with your name on it!

There are special events throughout the year exclusively for President’s Circle members.  These have included a Boat Parade party along the Intracoastal Waterway, dinner and brunch "meet-and-greets" with headline-making guest speakers, friendly cocktail parties and a special Shabbat service honoring this esteemed group.
